Money can’t buy happiness, but these days it can buy you some pretty cool stuff. As home automation starts to be a thing of the present rather than the future, home gadgets are becoming just as cool as any other portion of the tech sector. Don’t believe it? Let me build my case.

Exhibit 1: Home Security

Most cable companies offer home security over your wireless network that can be accessed from any device, even remotely. (Although if my home security is only as reliable as my Comcast wireless, I’m in trouble) These systems can detect the sounds of breaking glass, and even help with flooding detection. But my pick for home security is this home lock from Goji. The sleek design and welcome message are enough to make it look high tech, but this lock also features bank-level security, wi-fi access, and snaps photos of visitors and alerts you via text message and email.
